“The Ringing Cedars of Russia” by Vladimir Megre book series
Originally from Russia, the book series has been translated into many different languages and has spawned an international movement of building self-sufficient Eco-villages and (re)establishing spiritual connection with nature. The following themes are explored in these books:
Man’s place and connection to nature and the universe at large.
Alternative history of humanity and man’s enslavement through religions, economic systems, and various means of dumbing down and manipulating man’s consciousness.
Methods of raising/expanding consciousness, recollection of past lives, exteriorization (separation of consciousness from the body) and interstellar travel, physical teleportation, abilities to project energy, transform realities, and communicate through mental holographic projections are all explored in this series.
“Amusing Ourselves to Death” by Neil Postman is a must read highlighting a transition from literacy based culture (reading and writing, dialog) to media based culture (television and entertainment). Read more about this book on Wikipedia.

The Transformation – a must see documentary about Est Forum and its founder Werner Erhard.
This video is cited here because it draws parallels between the structure of Reality and the structure of Consciousness. However, evaluation of the practice of Transcendental Medication in itself has not been performed within the framework of this project, nor there is any immediate plan to do so.

ON THE NATURE OF MATTER
Matter can be viewed as various configurations of some underlying “substance” which houses motions and vibrations. This substance may be called aether (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aether_theories) or be some underlying form of consciousness that can retain vibrations. The theories of what Reality is truly made of are numerous, but the complete resolution of this issue is not necessary for this project at this moment. All we need to know is that there is something there that we perceive and conceptualize into what we eventually view as reality.
